How to Adjust 16” cpk patterns to fit 20” TRUs
Adjusting doll patterns are pretty easy. TRU (Toys ‘R Us) Cabbage Patch Kids dolls are mainly just longer than the vintage 16” Cabbage Patch Kids dolls. I’m not going to go through each and every pattern that is out there, but just to give you an idea, I’ll go over a pair of pants, blouse, and a pleated skirt pattern*.
To adjust pants, extend the legs by about 1.5 inches, and the crotch out about .5 inch. (See diagram)
For a blouse, extend the height by 1.75 inch, the width by 1 inch, the sleeve opening by 5/8 inch, and the neck opening by .25 inch. Extend the sleeve by 1.3 inch wide and 1 inch tall. (See diagram.)
To adjust a pleated skirt, extend the width by .75 inch and the height by 1 inch. (See diagram)
