Lil Winter Custom Reroot Toddler CPK

Image
I went ahead and rerooted another cabbie before the end of the year. Her name is Lil Winter, born on the first day of Winter, December 21, 2012. She is as sweet as can be with her two little white and blue pony tails, with accented twists, tied in snowflake ribbon; handmade snowman-print Jumpsuit with pom-poms on the feet, zipper closure in the back, and embroidered bib; and her cute little embroidered snowman toy.

Tsukuda Elegance Dress

Image
Cabbage Patch Kids that were made in Japan exclusively for the Japanese market had very unique outfits. One of my favorites is the Elegance Line dresses. Here is a picture of some original Tsukuda Elegance Dresses. I wanted to make my own because they are so rare, I haven’t been able to find any like this. Just by going off of this photo, I made my own:

Growing Hair Restore

Image
My first Growing Hair restore was a lot simpler than I thought. The body was very dirty. I tried scrubbing, but knew that she needed to soak. I’ve never taken apart a Growing Hair doll, so I was a little apprehensive about it. After asking around, I decided to go ahead and do it.

Poseable Boy Restore

Image
I bought this cute little guy on ebay for $6.25 plus shipping. His description didn’t mention all the dirt on his body, and the photos only showed him with clothes on, so it was impossible to see how dirty he was.

Strawberries and Cream Koosas Twins

Image
My latest creations, now on ebay , are twin Koosas Dogs named Strawberries and Cream. I had a lot of fun with these and they are so cute, I almost hate to sell them, but then it would defeat the purpose of buying so many dolls for reselling.

#9 Preemie Reroot CPK

Image
I won this cutie on ebay for $4.99 plus shipping. She had red hair but I really wanted yellow and since the yarn hair wasn't in very good condition anyway, I decided to reroot her.

Estate Sale Cabbie Haul

Image
I recently ran across a listing on craigslist with 98 CPKs from an estate sale. This is what the ad was: I first replied to the ad, and received these photos: The person that placed the ad did not even have these. She had her cousin (I’m assuming) contact me. His aunt had passed away about 18 months ago, and her husband passed away about the same time. After finding this out, I thought it was strange that the ad said that “my wife” passed away. I asked how much he wanted for all of them. He said $500. I went with my dad (for security purposes, since you don’t know people on craigslist) and we picked them all up. When I was placing them in the bags, I noticed that there were a lot of them that were in horrible condition and stank. But, there were also some that were in perfect condition. I asked if he’d take $300 for all of them, since that’s about what they were worth. An older woman that was with him, which I’m assuming was his mother, who immediately said no without a single thou
