Each week, I'm aiming to release a new pattern! It may not happen every single week, but that's the goal. 😊 Last week I released the Shoulder Tie Dress pattern for 16" Cabbage Patch Dolls.  This week's new release is the Shoulder Tie Dress pattern for 20" Cabbage Patch Dolls (BLE, TRU, and Newborn Softies). I hope you enjoy making it as much as I enjoyed designing it! 💕 Sewing pattern for a vintage-inspired shoulder-tie dress and bloomers set, inspired by the classic 1980s Cabbage Patch shoulder-tie dress. Features a Peter Pan collar, attached blouse-style bodice, and matching bloomers made from a delicate floral fabric. The skirt is made from a coordinating contrasting print or color, creating the charming layered look of the original design. American Girl Doll Lila Makeover

Image
I had to take a day off from working on orders, as I was getting so burnt out.  So I did a makeover instead. I had Lila on my wish list for a while. I absolutely loved her freckles and her beautiful, multifaceted hair. So when she went on sale, I used my rewards to get her. When she arrived, even though she's gorgeous as-is, I couldn't help feeling she needed hazel eyes. So I gave her a very subtle makeover—I didn't want to change her too much. This was the easiest eye swap I have ever done! From popping the old eyes out to putting the new ones in, it took about 30 seconds. I was amazed. I poured boiling water into her head, let it sit for about 5 minutes, dumped it out, pushed the eyes out through her neck with my thumbs, and then quickly pressed the new ones in. I wore double nitrile gloves. Usually I have to use a towel and end up with a blister on my thumb, so I was ecstatic. I guess the secret is to work fast and don't be afraid. For her lips, I used a fine pai...

Revised Patterns

I'm excited to share that I've been revising some of my sewing patterns! Over the years, I've learned little tricks and found ways to improve both the fit and the instructions. Rather than leaving my older patterns as they were, I've been updating them to make them even easier to sew and give an even better finished result. If you notice a pattern has been updated, that's why! My goal is to make every pattern as clear, accurate, and enjoyable to use as possible. If you've purchased one of these patterns in the past and would like the revised version, please send me a message either on Facebook or Etsy ! Unfortunately, Etsy doesn't automatically update pattern files in previous purchases, so I'm happy to send you the newest version. Thank you all for your continued support. I truly appreciate everyone who has purchased my patterns and shared your finished creations with me. ❤️ So far, patterns that have been updated: Button Romper and Lace Sunsuit

New Pattern Release: Shoulder Tie Dress for 16" Cabbage Patch Kids I'm excited to finally share my newest sewing pattern—the Shoulder Tie Dress for 16" Cabbage Patch Kids! Every time I release a new pattern, I get excited to start working on the next one. I have a long list of ideas I'd love to bring to life, and I know many of you are eagerly waiting for them too. One thing that many people don't realize is that creating a sewing pattern involves much more than sewing the outfit. Each pattern requires designing, testing, photographing every step, writing clear instructions, editing dozens of pages, and making sure everything is easy to follow. It can take many days—or even weeks—to complete a single pattern. At the same time, I'm also sewing customer orders. I'm incredibly grateful for every order because they allow me to continue doing what I love. The challenge is finding the balance between creating new patterns and keeping up with the outfits you'...
