I'm excited to share that I've been revising some of my sewing patterns! Over the years, I've learned little tricks and found ways to improve both the fit and the instructions. Rather than leaving my older patterns as they were, I've been updating them to make them even easier to sew and give an even better finished result. If you notice a pattern has been updated, that's why! My goal is to make every pattern as clear, accurate, and enjoyable to use as possible. If you've purchased one of these patterns in the past and would like the revised version, please send me a message either on Facebook or Etsy ! I got hold of some vintage dino overalls and created my own vintage-inspired dino fabric! I added more color options and made sure everything would line up seamlessly. It was quite the process! I spent several days redesigning it, creating the motifs as vector artwork, recoloring them, and refining the repeat. I also had to order samples and adjust the colors since fabric prints differently than what you see on screen. I announced my last pattern,  Dino Overalls for Cabbage Patch Kids , I decided to make overalls for 18" dolls, such as American Girl. As I've been working on custom orders for Kimono outfits, I decided to update my pattern. Available on Etsy . I added instructions for the Fan and Hair Accessories, as well as rewrote the instructions to be more clear, and did some minor adjustments to the pattern pieces. Overall, I'm very happy with how it turned out. Now I can continue making the rest of the outfits and will be sharing them as well.

Create a sweet Strawberry Shortcake-inspired outfit for your favorite 18-inch doll with this detailed pattern.   The pattern includes tights, bloomers, dress, and hat.    The hat brim and crown is lined with interfacing to keep the shape, and then stuffed to give it fullness, with a cute little strawberry on top.     The dress has a faux apron with sleeve ruffles, complete with the iconic green squares and stitched red X’s.   The bloomers are trimmed with eyelet lace.    Dolls are wearing store-bought shoes.   Did someone say Peaches and Cream?  My last Barbie-to-Cabbie outfit project led to a fascinating suggestion: recreating the iconic Peaches and Cream Barbie look. I never owned this Barbie as a child, nor do I remember her. Determined to find inspiration for my next Cabbie outfit, I embarked on a quest to find a Peaches and Cream Barbie. However, it wasn't easy! She is extremely popular, and even rough condition dolls with missing accessories (like the boa and belt) were priced around $50. Mint-in-box versions were a staggering $200+. I set up eBay notifications to alert me to new listings and managed to snag one at a reasonable price. This Barbie has her complete outfit and is in pristine condition – just needed a gentle cleaning. Now, I’ve drafted a pattern to recreate this stunning outfit. I'm excited to start sewing, but I'm also a bit apprehensive. Chiffon can be notoriously tricky to work with! Off to sew... Wish me luck! I'll be back with the finished Peaches an...

This easy-to-follow pattern set includes designs for a shirt, overalls, dress, bib, and bloomers tailored for 16" (Pattern #68) and 20" (Pattern #69) Cabbage Patch Kids. The shirt and dress are crafted from woven cotton, featuring ruffled sleeves with a contrasting sleeve band. The shirt boasts a neckband, while the dress showcases a piped collar. Overalls can be fashioned from light twill or heavy woven cotton fabric, complete with leg cuffs that complement the shirt. The bib features knife-pleated ruffles. Both the overalls and bib are adorned with embroidery, with a design measuring approximately 3-4 inches. Available in my Etsy shop!

I've completed the Day to Night Cabbie pattern, but I must warn that it's not suitable for beginners. Working with velvet and chiffon can be challenging, as velvet slips easily and requires hand-basting before machine stitching, while chiffon is prone to snagging and requires careful grain alignment. However, substituting velvet with twill and chiffon with regular cotton fabric can make the project more manageable. Available on Etsy . Inspired by the  American Girl Day to Night Barbie outfit , I aimed for accuracy, adding details like a fully lined jacket. The jacket and skirt are made from velvet, adding an extra touch of elegance. I did make a few tweaks, like adding elastic to the waist of the skirt for easy on-and-off, omitting the Velcro. Pattern includes instructions and pieces to make a velvety jacket with white contrast collar and two-button closure, a chiffon scarf, a felt hat with band, a bodysuit, and a reversible skirt with velvet on one side and gathered chiffon ...

 I really did not want to make another outfit like this because the last one took me so long. But, driven by perfectionism, I felt it really needed to be improved. This version took about half the time as the original, with notable improvements including replacing tulle with chiffon in the skirt and using sew-on snaps instead of working buttons.  Now I just need to finish writing up the pattern and get it published, yet I’m contemplating making an outfit with twill fabric rather than velvet to see if it’s much easier to work with.

Introducing my latest creation! This outfit was weeks in the making, with 24 hours of intense focus to bring it all together. I faced countless challenges along the way, but each obstacle taught me something new. From changing designs to waiting for fabric, this project tested my patience.   Inspired by the  American Girl Day to Night Barbie outfit , I aimed for accuracy, adding details like a fully lined jacket with two working buttons. The jacket and skirt is made from luxurious velvet, adding an extra touch of elegance. I did make a few tweaks, like adding elastic to the waist of the skirt for easy on-and-off, and omitting the Velcro.   Pattern coming soon! Due to the complexity and time involved, I won't be taking orders for this outfit, as I would have to charge over $100.

  I am excited and so happy how these outfits turned out. The other day I found some farm animal fabric at Joann's in the remnant pile (which I'm a sucker for.) I used every last inch of the fabric making these two outfits, including the hair bows. The orange rust-colored fabric is linen. I mix-and-matched a few of my patterns to complete the outfits. Using the bib from my " Bib Dress " pattern, I used "knife pleats" instead of lace, which is something I had never tried before. I followed the tutorial on Youtube by Jann Newton, making the pleats 3/4 inch. For the dress, I used my Strawberry Shortcake pattern, omitting the apron, and using the  Holiday Outfits  dress sleeve pattern for the sleeve, and used a wider sleeve band (2.5").  I used the collar from my Flannel PJs pattern. I used my Teddy Overalls pattern for the overalls, and shirt, and also used the Holiday Outfit pattern for the sleeves. Instead of using velcro for the overalls strap...
