My first soft sculpture!

Image
I decided to make my own soft sculpture doll. I drafted the pattern from a mass-market 16” Cabbage Patch Kid, then scaled it down 50%, making it only 8” tall. I think it turned out pretty good, considering it was my first soft sculpture I’ve ever made. I have made Koosas bodies before, but never sculpted a face. My oldest daughter has claimed it as hers, as a special something to remember me when she goes to visit her dad. Being scaled in the same proportions as a regular CPK doll, it makes it easy to make clothes for her.  All I have to do is scale the patterns down to 50%.
