Kimono Style Wrap ress Pattern for 16" Cabbage Patch Kids
By request from a customer, I drafted this kimono-style dress for 16" Cabbage Patch Kids.
Kimono style is where the bodice has two layers of fabric that crisscross in front. Be creative and mix and match different fabrics.
It comes in two styles: one with piping, and one with ruffles. I think it came out so cute! Bloomers and Headband instructions included.
Available on etsy, and eBay.
Modeling for these photos is a Jesmar from Spain.

Tips: Iron after each step. Use an overcast stitch for seams to keep
fabric from unraveling. Try garment on
doll as you go, in case you need to make any adjustments.
I can’t tell
you enough how much I recommend a loop turner, 4mm rolled hem foot and 9mm flat
felled foot. They make everything so much
easier. (For the 9mm flat felled (felling) foot, you will need a plastic slant shank
adapter for machines that are not Viking, since the Flat Felled Foot is only
made for Viking.)
