Introduction

Includes pattern to make Lacy A-Line Dress for 16” Cabbage Patch Kids.  Cotton dress with eyelet yoke and eyelet lace trim at the yoke, neck, sleeve, dress hem, and bloomers.  This dress was inspired by Coleco’s Frilly Lace A-Line Dress and the Velvet Twins Dress.

Helpful Tools

·        Glue Stick

·        Mat and Rotary Cutter

·        Narrow Hem Foot

·        Overcasting Foot

 

Materials Needed

·        1/2 Yard Cotton Fabric for Dress & Bloomers

·        4x4” Remnant White Cotton Fabric For Yoke

·        4x4” Remnant Eyelet Fabric

·        ¾” Flat Eyelet Trim

·        ¾” Ruffled Eyelet Trim

·        1/4” elastic

·        ½” Single Fold Bias Tape

·        ½” Velcro or snaps for closures

Flat or Ruffled Lace?

Use flat lace on areas of the dress that will be gathered, such as the sleeve and bloomers.

Use ruffled lace on areas of the dress that will not be gathered, such as the yoke, neck, and bottom hem.  If you don’t have flat lace, you can take the gathering stitches out of the gathered lace.
