It’s finally here!  This is the pattern everyone has been waiting for.  I’ve searched high and low for a pattern to make dolls close to Cabbage Patch Kids.  I’ve found similar, but not exact, so I drafted my own.  I drafted My Anna Doll from an original 16-inch mass-market Cabbage Patch Kid.  It has taken me a long time to finish this.  I first started drafting it when I made an 8” doll .  I then got so busy with other things, that it lay dormant for a long time.  Well, now I’ve brought it back to life.  With many hours of drafting, sewing, and writing to make it the best it can be, I’ve finally finished it.

I always wonder when I’m about to restore or reroot a ‘Kid, if it’s one that is considered rare or hard-to-find. Here is a list of “Rare and Hard-to-Find Kids” taken from the book Encyclopedia of Cabbage Patch Kids --the 1980s by Jan Lindenberger. (This book is amazing. I highly recommend it if you want to learn more about Cabbage Patch Kids.)  Please keep in mind that times do change, and what may have been rare and hard-to-find back then, may not be so now. Due to the internet bringing collectors together worldwide, and the ability to find ’Kids on ebay, collectors have found that many‘Kids that used to be considered rare and HTF really aren’t.  However, certain ones are very saught-after, such as #19, #30, and red fuzzies.  When in doubt, search ebay's sold listings to see if what you have is selling. You may purchase my iron on transfers on ebay . I also sell onesies that already have the transfer on them. These make a great gift or something unique for your kids or dolls. First, make sure you get the correct type of transfer. Light for light-colored fabric, such as white. And dark for colored fabrics.

Get ready for Autumn with Snoopy! This darling girl with her original brown hair (no reroot) and brown eyes comes with a sweet little Snoopy dog to match her handmade overalls. Her handmade shirt is trimmed with white rickrack and lace. The fabric that the shirt it is made out of, has Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and other Peanut characters on it as they play in the leaves.
