#89 Pattern Electric Tiers dress for Frankie

My latest pattern is inspired by the new Limited Edition Monster High Frankie Stein American Girl doll. I visualized this dress the moment Frankie arrived. It took some time to get it drafted, but I worked on it as diligently as possible, while dealing with illness and an injured leg.

The coordinating belt and dangling lightning-bolt detail add just the right spark of attitude to this electrifying ensemble.

Whether she’s heading out after ghoul or simply showing off her signature style, Electric Tiers is sure to bring some serious voltage to her wardrobe!

Materials Needed

DRESS

· 1/2 or 5/8 yard main fabric depending on center skirt layer

· 1/4 yard stretch lace or mesh fabric

· 1/4 yard contrast fabric for lining and bands

· 2 1/4 yard flat or ruffled black lace, 3/4” wide

· 3/8” Sew-on snaps OR 1/4" wide hook-and-loop tape

· ¼” Fusible Basting Tape or basting glue

· Optional freezer paper for sheer fabric

BELT, EARRINGS, BRACELET

· Three 1/2” silver lightning bolts for jewelry

· Two 28mm silver lightning bolts for belt

· 4mm black and gray beads for bracelet

· Thin stretch cord and beading needle for bracelet

· Black marine vinyl for belt (1/2" strip)

· Four 6mm silver rhinestone brads for belt

· 1/2" silver slider buckle from Sally Tomato

· 2mm silver studs for earrings

· 12” chain (1/8” chain links) and jump rings for earrings, bracelet, and belt

· 1/2” Black hook-and-loop tape
