#2 Teddy Overalls Revised
Created as a replica of the famous Teddy Overalls. Originally drafted in 2016, updated in 2019 to include the t-shirt and 20” size, and revised and added size 14” and made the back casing better in 2023. The original Cabbage Patch shirt was striped knit, and the overalls were solid twill. Both were trimmed with matching solid ribbed knit. for 14” Preemies, 16” full size, and 20” TRU Cabbage Patch Kids. Size 14” will also fit the 14” Soft Sculpture
Lullabies. Size 20” will also fit the 20” Soft Sculpture Newborns, and 20” BLEs. Shirt is made of cotton knit, with neck and
sleeves trimmed with either ribbed knit or waffle knit fabric. Overalls are made of twill fabric, with legs
trimmed with ribbed knit or waffle knit fabric. When choosing knits, make sure you choose
thick, good-quality cotton fabric. The
thinner and stretchier the fabric, the harder it is to work with. I try to stay away from Rayon, as it can be
difficult. Also, it helps to use a knit
presser foot and/or light tear-away or water-soluble stabilizer while
stitching.
